123RF.com Launches Portfolio Retrieval Services for Contributors

May 8, 2007 - 123RF.com Contributors will now have a peace of mind with the newly implemented Portfolio Recovery Download.

With this service, Contributors can now download their own portfolio without being charged for the download. In the past there have been Contributors who experienced personal dilemmas such as house break-ins, crashed hard disks and corrupted backup drives which resulted in loss of precious works.

After facing such unfortunate circumstances, 123RF.com believes that it's only right that we help Contributors to recover their work.

P.S: This service applies to images that have been accepted by our team of reviewers only.

The Mechanism
When you're logged in and viewing your OWN portfolio, you'll see that all of the resolutions are available for you to download for FREE.

Don't worry, the rest of the community will be able to buy and download your image for credits or under the subscription mode.

Backup Strategy
Just in case you're wondering how serious we are... We have 3 backup copies. Now, how's that for seriousness?

When I try to download ultra high resolution, I get file of only 400-500kb. So, it's not an original version. Why can't I get my original version for free? This is not useful at all.
Says whitechild on November 4, 2008, 07:47 AM
lost some of my pictures coz of a hdd crash. so, tried to get them back with this feature. but the jpgs i get are compressed to the max. so, what initially looked like a great idea is absolutely useless :-(( i'd suggest to make this option work properly or take it off this site. it only makes photographers feel safe but finally it can't help them at all...
